Monolocale in Salerno

The cluster is in the built-up area of Salerno, on the Gulf of Salerno with the Tyrrhenian coast at hand. The Monti Lattari begin to the west above Vietri sul Mare and the first bends of the Amalfi Coast are just beyond them, but those are outside the immediate urban surroundings. Salerno is the nearest town of size and in practice the place itself: it has a seafront, port, rail connections, university facilities and the main city services of this part of Campania. The historic core includes the cathedral and the hilltop Arechi Castle above the city. The area is known for being the urban gateway between the plain south of Naples and the Amalfi Coast.
