The cluster is in the lower Tronto valley, with cultivated hills and the river plain of the Tronto within the lived landscape. The Adriatic coast around San Benedetto del Tronto is nearby but outside the 15 km radius, so it is a logistics fact rather than part of the setting. The nearest larger town is Ascoli Piceno, which has a substantial historic centre and services. To the west the Sibillini and the main Apennine ridge are farther inland and shape the wider horizon, but they are not inside the immediate area. This part of southern Marche is known for mixed farming, vineyards and olive groves on the lower hills.
