The cluster sits in the Giudicarie area of western Trentino on mountain-valley terrain with surrounding forested and agricultural slopes. The municipality contains the village of Rango, which is listed among I Borghi più belli d'Italia. The spa town of Comano Terme (thermal baths) is adjacent to the area. This part of Trentino is set below the higher massifs of the Brenta/Adamello mountain system and the higher, protected mountain areas of western Trentino lie to the north; upland ridges and valley floors are the local relief within short drives. Nearest larger local town is Tione di Trento (local services and municipal offices); the provincial capital Trento lies to the east. The area has small-scale mountain agriculture and a local tradition of the cipolla (onion) di Bleggio.
