Monte Baldo rises directly above Brentonico, with the ridge and alpine pasture landscape of the Baldo massif within the local area. The Adige valley lies immediately to the east, and the northern end of Lake Garda is within this part of southern Trentino, with the lake shore around Nago-Torbole and Riva del Garda just beyond the mountain. The area is linked to the Monte Baldo natural landscape, and the Bocca di Navene and San Valentino sector provides the nearest winter sports slopes on the mountain with a short drive from the town. Rovereto is the nearest larger town, with rail connections, services and museums. Brentonico is known in Trentino for its position on Monte Baldo and for mountain pasture and walking country.
