Adriatic Sea coastline and long sandy beaches lie immediately to the east of the cluster; the area is a low coastal plain with beach and tourism development. Nearby coastal towns within the same stretch of coast include Tortoreto, Giulianova (which has a marina/port and a railway station) and Martinsicuro. The main north–south transport corridors for the region—the Adriatic railway line and the A14 motorway/SS16 state road—run close to the coast and serve Alba Adriatica and neighbouring towns. The provincial capital Teramo is inland (roughly 20–25 km) and supplies provincial-level services, hospitals and larger shops. The area is known for seasonal bathing tourism and beach resort infrastructure (promenades, bathing establishments).
