Frazione Casigliano, Acquasparta

The area sits on the hills above the middle Tiber valley, with a broad pattern of cultivated slopes, woods and ravines. The river in daily geography is the Tevere, and the Corbara reservoir lies to the southwest within this part of Umbria. Todi itself is a substantial hill town with a complete historic centre, medieval and Renaissance public buildings, and regular services. Orvieto is the nearest larger historic centre of similar weight in the wider area, but it is beyond the landscape radius and does not affect the score. This part of Umbria is known for olive groves, vineyards and a settled hill-country landscape of stone towns and farmhouses.
