The cluster is in the built-up area of Brescia, with the Brescian Prealps visible to the north and Lake Garda beyond the urban edge but outside the immediate 15 km landscape. Brescia is a large city with a full urban fabric, services, rail links, hospitals, universities, and major commercial and industrial zones. The city has a substantial historic centre with the Roman forum area and the monastic complex of San Salvatore-Santa Giulia, part of a UNESCO inscription. This area is known for being an urban and industrial centre at the foot of the prealpine zone.
