The cluster sits in the Val Canale / Canal del Ferro valley at the foot of the Carnic Alps, with the nearby Julian range also influencing the local skyline. The Fella River runs the length of the valley and is the local watercourse. Tarvisio is the nearest town of size (services, shops and tourist infrastructure) and lies within about 15 km; Tarvisio and its surroundings host ski lifts (Monte Lussari and the Tarvisio ski area) reachable by a short drive.
