The Adamello Regional Park surrounds this part of the valley, with high granite massifs, forest, alpine pasture and glacial basins inside the 15 km radius. The Poia and Salarno valleys and the access toward the Adamello group are the defining local landscape. The Oglio runs down the main Val Camonica below. The nearest ski lifts are the small facilities around Ponte di Legno and Temù, roughly an hour or more by road depending on the hamlet. The nearest larger town is Edolo in upper Val Camonica, with rail access and everyday services; Breno farther down the valley is a larger service centre. Val Camonica is known for its mountain valleys and for the prehistoric rock engravings, though the main engraved sites are farther down the valley.
