No mountains or named mountain range in the local plain. The Brenta river runs through the area and the cluster sits on the historical 'Riviera del Brenta' with several Palladian villas; Villa Foscari (La Malcontenta) is in the municipality and Villa Pisani is in nearby Stra. The Venetian Lagoon and its system of canals and marshes lie to the east. Terrain is low-lying, part of the Venetian plain, with canals, embanked riverbanks, agricultural land and ribbon urbanisation along the Brenta. Boat excursions on the Brenta and visits to the riverside villas are regular tourist activities. Neighbouring towns on the Riviera with villa museums and local services include Dolo and Stra. Road and rail links connect the Riviera toward Venice and Padua for commuting and services. There are no ski lifts or mountain recreation within about 15 km and no national or regional park centred inside that radius.
