Via Noiare, 80, Portogruaro

The area is in the lower Veneto plain on the Lemene river, with flat agricultural land and scattered villages around Portogruaro. Portogruaro is the main town nearby and has a preserved medieval and Renaissance centre with arcaded streets, canals and the old mills on the Lemene, along with the usual rail, schools and hospital services of a district town. Concordia Sagittaria, adjoining Portogruaro, has the archaeological area of the Roman colony of Iulia Concordia and an early Christian cathedral complex. The Adriatic coast at Caorle and Bibione is outside the immediate 15 km landscape, so it does not define the setting here. The area is known for farming on the reclaimed plain and for the historic twin centre of Portogruaro and Concordia.
