Via Calvas - Morgnaga, 1, Gardone Riviera

Lake Garda is at the door, with the west shore directly below the hills of the Valtenesi and the first pre-Alpine relief rising immediately inland. The Parco Alto Garda Bresciano begins just north of the built-up area and covers much of the mountain and lake landscape above this stretch of shore. The nearest ski lifts are on Monte Maniva and in the Borno area, both roughly 1.5 to 2 hours by road, so they are not part of the local landscape. Salò is the nearest town of size and has a lakefront, services and a working historic centre; Brescia is the main city for higher-level services. Gardone Riviera is one of the best-known historic resort settlements on Lake Garda and contains the Vittoriale degli Italiani.
