Monolocale in Maisons-Alfort

The cluster lies inside the continuous built-up area of Greater Paris and the local landscape is urban/suburban rather than rural. The River Seine and the River Marne both run within about 15 km of the town. The Bois de Vincennes and the Château de Vincennes are within a few kilometres to the north. Paris city centre is within roughly 10 km and provides national museums, major railway stations and wide public-transport connections. The locality is served by RER suburban rail (Maisons-Alfort–Alfortville) and local bus links into Paris. Paris-Orly airport lies to the south within about 10–15 km by road; Charles de Gaulle airport is farther. Local service towns such as Créteil and Alfortville provide commercial centres and public services within the suburban area.
