Appartamento in Carpi

This is the central Po plain around Carpi, with flat agricultural land cut by canals and drainage works. The Secchia runs nearby to the east, and the area is shaped more by reclaimed plain and farming than by relief. Modena is the nearest major city, with the Romanesque cathedral and Piazza Grande, both part of the UNESCO listing of Modena. Carpi itself has a large historic centre focused on Piazza dei Martiri and the Palazzo dei Pio.
