This is flat agricultural country on the edge of the Brescian and Mantuan plain, with fields, drainage canals and scattered farmsteads. The Chiese river runs nearby to the west, and the Oglio is farther east beyond the immediate area. Castiglione delle Stiviere is the nearest larger town with full everyday services, while Desenzano del Garda and Brescia are farther off for rail links and a wider range of shops and hospitals. The wider area is known for mixed farming and for being close to the lower Garda plain, but Lake Garda itself is outside the 15 km landscape around the village.
