The cluster lies on the low hill of Monte Netto, an isolated rise in the plain southwest of Brescia, with vineyards and cultivated land around it. The Mella and Oglio river plains are part of the wider landscape nearby, but this is mainly settled and farmed lowland rather than a distinct river setting. Brescia is the nearest city of size, with full services, a large historic centre and rail connections. The area is known for Monte Netto wines, especially Marzemino and Merlot, and for mixed agriculture on the Brescian plain.
