Crotone is the main town here and has a port, seafront, services and a documented old core with the hilltop fortress. The Capo Colonna archaeological area, with the remaining column of the Hera Lacinia sanctuary, is just outside the city. This stretch of coast is known for its beaches, marine waters and Magna Graecia archaeology.
