The area is close to the Parco dell'Alto Garda Bresciano on the mountains above the lake. The nearest ski area is Maniva, roughly 25 km away by mountain road. Vestone is the nearest town of some size in the valley and has the usual shops and services; Salò on Lake Garda is farther south for a larger centre. This part of the valley is known for mountain pasture, woodland and small industrial workshops along the Sabbia corridor.
