The Adamello Regional Park begins nearby and covers much of the mountain area north and east of the valley. The nearest ski lifts are around Ponte di Legno and the Tonale area, roughly 20–30 minutes by road depending on the base station. Edolo is the nearest town of some size, with secondary schools, rail terminus and everyday services. This part of Val Camonica is known for alpine valleys, hydroelectric reservoirs and mountain access; the wider valley is also known for its prehistoric rock engravings, with major UNESCO-listed sites farther south around Capo di Ponte.
