Via C. Battisti, 64, Ficarolo

The Po runs by Ficarolo, in the broad lower Po plain of embankments, fields and riverside settlements. This is the Polesine landscape between the Po and its branches, with flat agricultural land and flood-control works as the dominant setting. Occhiobello is the nearest larger centre, and Ferrara is the nearest major city with full services and a large historic centre just beyond the provincial border. The area is known for river agriculture and for the history of floods and land reclamation in the lower Po.
