The Arda valley and Veleia Roman archaeological area are within this part of eastern Piacenza province. Castell'Arquato, with its preserved hill town and fortress, is nearby and is on the Borghi più belli d'Italia list. The nearest larger centres are Fidenza and Piacenza, which provide the main rail, shops and services.
