The regional park Dune Costiere da Torre Canne a Torre San Leonardo lies along this coast. Ostuni is the nearest town of size in the wider area, with a substantial historic centre on a hill. Alberobello, within roughly 15 km, is UNESCO-listed for its trulli, and this part of the area is known for trulli, masserie and olive growing.
