The municipal coastline is a few kilometres away and Porto Pino — white-sand beaches, a line of dunes and a stand of maritime pine — lies within a short drive. No mountains or ski lifts within about 15 km. No national park inside the 15 km radius. The nearest larger town is Carbonia (roughly 20 km) which supplies larger shops and administrative services; Cagliari and Cagliari Elmas airport are about 70–80 km to the east.
