Bilocale in Comino Alto

The Monte Albo limestone massif (Monte Albo) rises inland and is the nearest named mountain feature. The cluster sits on Sardinia’s eastern coast along the Gulf of Orosei; the municipal coastline includes the harbour/sea-front settlement of La Caletta and headlands such as Capo Comino. A coastal nature reserve, the Oasi di Bidderosa, with several sandy coves and maritime pine woodland, is in the local coastal area. There are no ski lifts in the immediate area. The nearest larger urban centres are Nuoro (provincial capital, public services and regional hospital) inland and Olbia (airport and ferry connections) to the north by car. The local economy and land use are dominated by seaside tourism, beach recreation and coastal pine forests, with inland karst and hiking on Monte Albo.
