This is inland Salento on the Murge Tarantine plain, with olive groves and arable land around a large historic town. The nearest coast is the Ionian around Torre Colimena and Campomarino di Maruggio, and the Adriatic around Torre Guaceto and the Brindisi coast, all outside the immediate 15 km landscape. Ostuni is the nearest town of note in the wider area, with a substantial hill town centre. The area is known for olive oil, vineyards and Apulian agricultural landscapes.
