The surrounding land is worked with vineyards, olive groves and mixed smallholdings typical of the Viterbo–Bolsena area. There are no ski lifts within the 15 km radius; higher and winter sports areas (for example Monte Amiata) are notably farther away. The city of Viterbo and its thermal facilities lie outside the immediate 15 km radius (roughly 25–30 km).
