Trilocale in Roma

The cluster is in the lower Po Valley, with flat cultivated land around the Po and its side channels; the Po runs nearby at Bressana and Portalbera and shapes the local landscape more than any hill or mountain. Pavia is the nearest town of size, with a substantial historic centre, the Certosa a little farther north, and the services of a provincial capital. This part of Oltrepò Pavese is known mainly for agriculture and for the approach to the wine hills farther south, but those hills are outside the immediate landscape here.
