Rustico in Antegnate

This is the south-eastern Bergamo plain, part of the Pianura Padana, with intensively farmed flat land, irrigation canals and scattered roadside industry. The river Oglio runs not far to the east and marks the edge of the Bergamo plain toward the Brescia side. Treviglio is the nearest town of size, with rail connections, services and a substantial built-up area. Bergamo is the main nearby city for daily functions beyond that. The area is known for agriculture in the low plain rather than for a named landscape or protected natural setting.
