The cluster lies in the low hills behind the south-west Sardinian coast, with Mediterranean scrub and cultivated patches around the road to Chia. The coast at Chia is within about 15 km, with the beaches and dunes of the Chia shoreline and the coastal ponds behind them. This stretch falls inside the Capo Spartivento–Capo Teulada coastal system of coves, headlands and low granite relief. Pula is the nearest town of size, with everyday services and the archaeological area of Nora on the coast. The area is known for the Chia beaches and for coastal tourism.
