Abitazione a Isili (SU)

The area around Isili sits on the inland uplands of central-southern Sardinia, with low hills, basaltic plateaus and agricultural land. Lake Is Barrocus is at the edge of the town, and the larger Lago San Sebastiano lies nearby on the Flumendosa system. The Giara plateau is within this radius, with its volcanic tableland landscape and woodland. Barumini is the nearest major historic destination in the area, with the Su Nuraxi nuraghe, a UNESCO World Heritage site, just beyond the immediate surroundings but part of local life by short drive. The area is known for nuragic archaeology and for the saffron of Isili.
