Monolocale in Capoterra

The cluster lies on the Campidano plain at the foot of the Sulcis mountains. The Santa Lucia river crosses Capoterra and reaches the coastal lagoons and saltwater ponds around the Gulf of Cagliari, an important wetland area for birdlife. Monte Arcosu, inside the WWF reserve and connected to the larger forested massif of the Sulcis, is within this radius. The long urban and beach strip of the Gulf of Cagliari begins nearby, with La Maddalena Spiaggia in the Capoterra area. Cagliari is the nearest city of size and has the port, airport, university, major services and the historic districts around Castello. The area is known for wetlands, flamingos in the wider gulf system, and the wooded Sulcis uplands just inland.
