The Monte Albo limestone massif lies to the west and its eastern foothills are within roughly 15 km of Siniscola. The locality includes a coastal frazione, La Caletta, with a small harbour and nearby sandy beaches; the headland Capo Comino and coastal dune/pinewood systems are on the nearby shoreline. The area is part of eastern Sardinia's seaside stretch, used for summer seaside tourism and seaside resorts. Posada, with the medieval Castello della Fava, is about 10 km to the north. The provincial capital Nuoro is inland at roughly 50 km by road; Olbia airport is around 70 km away. There are no ski lifts in the immediate area; mountain skiing is on the Gennargentu massif at a drive of well over an hour.
