The Tyrrhenian coast is nearby, with the beaches of the Ardea-Tor San Lorenzo and Marina di Ardea stretch within about 15 km. The area is crossed by small drainage canals and low streams rather than a major river landscape. Rome is the nearest large city and provides the full range of services, but this part of the province is primarily lived as outer commuter belt and coastal plain. Ardea is an ancient settlement with archaeological remains linked to ancient Lavinium and Rutuli territory in the wider area, but the immediate landscape is not a protected park or named scenic district.
