The cluster is in the lower Flumendosa valley near the Sarrabus hills, with the river plain and low mountains of south-eastern Sardinia within the immediate area. The Flumendosa is the main river in the landscape, and the coast around Muravera and Porto Corallo is nearby, with long sandy beaches and lagoons inside roughly 15 km. The area is close to the Sette Fratelli-Monte Genis regional park system to the west, but the core protected mountains are farther inland and do not define the immediate surroundings here. Muravera is the nearest town of size for everyday services. The area is known for citrus growing, especially oranges, and for the agricultural plain of the Sarrabus.
