The massif of the Sette Fratelli stands inland to the west, and the Monte dei Sette Fratelli regional park area is the main mountain landscape in this part of south-eastern Sardinia. Villasimius is the nearest established seaside centre of note to the south, while Cagliari is the main city used for higher-level services and the airport. This area is known for citrus growing, especially around the lower plain, and for the beaches of the south-east Sardinian coast.
