Piazza Giacomo Matteotti, Trequanda

Trequanda sits on the cultivated hills between the Val d'Orcia and the Val di Chiana in southern Siena province. The 15 km radius is primarily agricultural: vineyards, olive groves and mixed arable land on rolling hills. Montepulciano is about 10 km to the east and is the nearest town of size, with a medieval centre, restaurants, shops and the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano wine appellation. Pienza and parts of the Val d'Orcia landscape lie to the south-west within roughly 15 km. Chianciano Terme, a thermal spa town with tourist facilities, is also within the local area. There are no high mountains or ski lifts within 15 km; the nearest larger city is Siena (roughly 35–40 km north-west) for provincial services and rail connections.
