Via Michele Amari,, 36, Caltanissetta

This is inland central Sicily, in a landscape of cultivated hills, grain fields and valleys. The Salso river system runs through this part of the province. Caltanissetta is the nearest town of size and has the full set of provincial services, shops and schools in a hilltop urban setting. The area is known historically for sulfur mining and for cereal agriculture.
