The cluster sits in the hills of the Basso Monferrato at the eastern edge of the province of Turin. The Po is the main river of the area and runs a few kilometres to the north below the hill belt. The nearest town of size is Chivasso, which has a station, shops and services. Turin is farther west and matters for commuting and higher-order services, but it is outside the immediate landscape. This part of the hills is known for mixed farmland, woods, small vineyards and scattered hamlets.
