Appartamento - Ragusa (RG)

The cluster sits on the southeastern Sicilian coast on the Gulf of Ragusa (Mediterranean Sea). Punta Secca and Marina di Ragusa lie within a few kilometres; Punta Secca is the small fishing village used as the filming location for the TV series Inspector Montalbano. Inland within 15 km the landscape is the Hyblean Plateau / Monti Iblei: low limestone hills and plateaus. Nearby historic towns include Scicli (close by) and Ragusa (the provincial capital), both part of the Late Baroque towns of the Val di Noto (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Marina di Ragusa provides beaches and a seasonal harbour/port; the coastal plain around Santa Croce Camerina is used for agriculture (olive trees, vineyards, citrus). There are no ski lifts within the local area; the relief is low hills rather than mountains.
