The Nuragic complex Su Nuraxi di Barumini (UNESCO World Heritage) lies within about 10–12 km and the Barumini museum and visitor facilities are nearby. The Giara di Gesturi, a nearby basaltic plateau noted for its wild horses, is within roughly the same 10–12 km radius. There are no mountains or lakes inside the 15 km radius and no ski facilities; the coast is farther away. Local settlements within a short drive include Barumini and Gesturi; larger service towns for more extensive services are a little farther afield.
