Appartamento in Malalbergo

This is the eastern Bolognese plain in the lower Reno valley, with flat agricultural land, drainage canals and scattered villages. The Reno runs nearby, and the area is part of the wider reclaimed plain between Bologna and Ferrara. Ferrara is the nearest major historic city, with a large Renaissance centre and UNESCO status, but it lies outside the immediate landscape. The area is known for arable farming and for the plain-country settlement pattern of the Po Valley fringe.
