Villino in c.da serra dei ladroni - Caltanissetta

This is inland central Sicily, with low clay and limestone hills used for cereals, olive groves and pasture. The Salso valley lies in this part of the province, and the wider landscape is marked by eroded badland slopes and open farmland rather than a single dominant natural feature. Caltanissetta is the nearest town of size and has the full set of provincial services, schools, hospital, shops and rail links. The area is known historically for sulphur mining and for inland Sicilian agriculture. The cluster sits in the built-up area of a city above 50,000 residents, so the urban cap applies.
