The Volturno River runs a few kilometres to the north. Capua is the nearest substantial town and has a large historic centre, Roman remains and rail connections; Caserta is also nearby with the Royal Palace of Caserta, a UNESCO site, but that is outside the immediate landscape and does not define the setting around the cluster.
