The cluster is in the Matese mountains, with Monte Miletto and the rest of the massif within the local horizon. Lago di Letino and Lago di Gallo are the water bodies in this part of the upper Volturno area. The area lies inside the Parco Regionale del Matese. The nearest ski area is Campitello Matese, reached by mountain roads in roughly an hour. The nearest town of some size is Piedimonte Matese, which has the main services, shops and rail connections for this part of the mountains. This part of the Matese is known for mountain pastures, forested slopes and outdoor walking routes.
