Appartamento - Cancello ed Arnone (CE)

This is the flat lower Volturno plain around the Volturno river, with fields, drainage canals and scattered farm country. The Volturno flows nearby and the Domitian coast is about 10 km away, but this comune is inland from the shore rather than on it. The nearest larger centres are Caserta and the northwestern edge of Naples for services and transport. The area is known for buffalo farming and mozzarella di bufala production in the Caserta plain.
