Roccamonfina-Foce Garigliano Regional Park begins a few kilometres to the east around the extinct volcanic massif of Roccamonfina. The nearest larger town is Caserta, which has full city services and the Reggia di Caserta. Teano is known historically for the meeting of Garibaldi and Vittorio Emanuele II in 1860.
