Bilocale in Linguaglossa

Mount Etna rises directly above the area, and Linguaglossa sits on the north-eastern slopes of the volcano within the Etna landscape. The Alcantara river valley is nearby to the north, with the Gole dell’Alcantara in the valley system within this part of eastern Sicily. The Parco dell’Etna covers the mountain above the town. The nearest ski lifts are on Etna at Piano Provenzana, a short drive uphill from Linguaglossa. The nearest larger town is Giarre on the Ionian side, with rail services and everyday commercial services, while Catania is the main city for the wider area. The area is known for Etna’s lava landscapes, vineyards, hazelnuts, and as one of the main access points to the Etna north side.
