The cluster is in the Licata area on the southern Sicilian coast, with the Mediterranean and the mouth of the Salso river within the local landscape. The coastline here alternates between low sandy stretches and short limestone headlands, including the Licata seafront and the hill of Monte Sant'Angelo above the town. Torre di Gaffe beach lies nearby to the east, and the coast continues toward the Poliscia and Mollarella area. Licata itself is the nearest town of size, with a port, a seafront, and an old centre laid out below Monte Sant'Angelo. The area is known for fishing, agriculture and the coastal setting of this part of southern Sicily.
