The cluster is in the inland hills between the Savuto valley and the Tyrrhenian side of central Calabria, with the Catena Costiera and the lower Sila visible in the wider area. The Savuto river system shapes the local valleys. The nearest larger town is Lamezia Terme, which has the main rail station, motorway access and the airport for this part of Calabria. The coast around Falerna and Nocera Terinese is the nearest stretch of Tyrrhenian shore, but it is outside the immediate inland landscape. This part of Calabria is known for olive groves, chestnut woods and small hill villages.
