Villa

The village sits on the eastern slopes of the Sila, in the Sila Piccola area, with wooded upland terrain and valleys immediately around it. The Corace valley is nearby, and the southern edge of Sila National Park is within the local area. The nearest substantial mountain scenery is the Sila plateau above the village, with tracks and upland roads leading toward Villaggio Mancuso and the broader Sila forests. Catanzaro is the nearest city of size, with the province’s main services and rail connections on the Ionian side. Taverna is known for its historic centre and for Mattia Preti, whose works are kept there.
